Photographer in Crowborough
I’m Nick Murden, a portrait, landscape and dance photographer based in Crowborough, East Sussex.
So, why ‘thefashionproject’? Well I actually thought it sounded like a really cool brand name. I enjoy portrait, dance and fashion photography, and because I like to work collaboratively, I call it a project, hence thefashionproject. But don’t be fooled by it’s name, as a photographer, I actually enjoy most forms of photography.
I am currently looking for collaborations, and as this is an art and a form of enjoyment for me, my rates are reasonable. I do occasionally get involved in TFP work here in Crowborough and surrounding areas, so if you have something you’re working on then feel free to get in contact. I am always open to new ideas and hopefully if you like my work, then we can work together!

I am based in Crowborough, East Sussex but not all of my photography is in actually done here in my hometown. I have studio time in Crowborough, but depending on the type of shoot, and particularly if it is location stuff, then I will travel anywhere in Kent, Sussex, Surrey and London.
I will travel further for special assignments.
I have always been interested in technology ever since I can remember, and one of my interests was camera technology. My entry into photography never came from an artistic angle, but from a technical one. I enjoyed setting up a shot as much as I enjoyed the shot itself, and so I decided to take advantage of this interest by challenging myself with more technically challenging shots, such as dance photography.
Good question! All I can say is that it depends. If I am shooting on location, then it will cost less than in a studio. Typically prices are tailored to the project based on time, and type. Typically you could expect a standard, not frills on location fashion shoot to cost around £149 for 90 minutes. This would include around 5 edits in a digital format.
“I was so happy with the work Nick did! He was really professional providing a comfortable environment and getting some really good shots, and the editing skills on the final photos were top notch!Thank for making my business happen through your shots!” – Tag Rowe
“Great photography skills with an eye for capturing the perfect image.” – Helen Saunders
“Had a photoshoot with Nick this weekend and enjoyed every moment of it. He made the whole process feel effortless and encouraged me to suggest my own ideas and try things out without judgement. When the cold started to get unbearable Nick was the first to suggest a coffee break to warm up before heading right back out there to get some more photos. Very professional and easygoing. An absolute Recommendation from me!” – Susan Taylor
